Flexible Video Conferencing Meeting Room for a Healthcare Comms Agency
The client is an independent global healthcare communications and consulting agency. It has a worldwide team of over 330 professionals based in 14 different locations in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the USA. The client partners with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies in some of the most complex and exciting areas of medicine.
Requirements
The client recently refurbished one of the floors of their Richmond office entirely. As part of that refurbishment, the agency required a professional large presentation space that could hold both boardroom-style meetings and video calls but also be used for presentations or trainings for larger face-to-face audiences. For this, they need to break away the tables into a different meeting room setup without shuffling around AV equipment, cables and controls. The initial requirement was also to combine 2 huge screens on the wall – one interactive and one normal.
Solution
We installed a full Yealink bundle to meet the client’s requirement and set up the large presentation space for effortless Microsoft Teams meetings. Because the tables and furniture would move around all the time, we opted for Yealink’s ceiling mounted solutions – 3 x VCM38 Ceiling Microphone Array, 2 x MSpeaker II and a UVC86 4K Dual-Eye Intelligent Tracking Camera. Additionally, we installed 2 commercial grade Samsung screens, a Yealink UVC84 4K PTZ Camera and a Yealink MTouch II Teams video conferencing touch panel.
Project Benefits
The client has been using the new meeting space for several weeks already and are extremely happy with the end result. The AV project was a complete success for a few reasons.
First, the agency really appreciated our consultative approach to the installation. Our AV sales engineer talked them out of combining two very large screens (86 inch each, one being an interactive touchscreen) because such configuration would be rarely used, would cost more and would look esthetically cluttered. Instead, the client agreed that 2 premium 75 inch Samsung screens would cover their requirements perfectly.
Second, the whole AV setup is done in such a way that tables can be moved around, merged or broken away without interfering with any cables or AV equipment. The ceiling-mounted Yealink mic arrays, camera and speakers perform great without ever moving them around.
Finally, we delivered a professional AV project conscious of budget and speed. From the initial engagement with the client, though on-site surveys to project sign-off and full completion it only took us 4 weeks.
